Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Rural (PMAY-G)

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is a scheme launched by the Government of India to provide pucca houses to families in rural areas. The scheme aims to provide a house to every poor family by 2022.

Objective

  1. Providing houses to poor and socially disadvantaged families.
  2. Providing them with financial stability by providing them with solid and good houses in rural areas.
  3. Implementing schemes so that every family has its own house.

Benefits

  1. Urban and rural families get financial assistance of up to Rs. 1,20,000 for house construction.
  2. Providing a house with a solid roof and sanitation facilities for house construction.
  3. Getting a solid house improves security, comfort and connectivity.

Eligibility

  1. Poor families from rural areas, whose annual income is less than ₹3 lakh.
  2. Eligible families must submit primary documents (Aadhaar card, bank account, ration card, etc.).
  3. Special preference for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other socially disadvantaged groups.

How to apply?

  1. Eligible beneficiaries can apply on the basis of self-application or social security scheme.
  2. Application can be made online on the official website pmayg.nic.in .
  3. Application can be made by visiting your nearest Gram Panchayat or Tehsil office.

Other information

  1. Documents for the entire project: 7/12 statement, Aadhar card, bank details, income certificate.
  2. The construction of houses under the scheme is 25-30 square meters.
