Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN)

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is a scheme launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India on 1 December 2018. This scheme provides financial assistance to small and medium-sized farmers in the country, which can be used for their farming and livelihood needs.

Objective

  1. Providing financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year to farmers.
  2. Providing financial security to farmers by increasing their income.
  3. Helping general farmers in the agricultural sector.

Benefits

  1. Farmers get Rs 6,000 every year.
  2. The money is deposited directly into the farmers' bank accounts.
  3. It can be used to buy loans, seeds, and other essentials for farming.

Eligibility

  1. Farmers must have land up to 5 acres
  2. Farmers based on government documents.
  3. Not eligible for immediate waiver scheme.
  4. Farmers are not eligible for the scheme for pensioners, government employees, taxpayers.

How to apply?

  1. Farmers should visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in to apply online.
  2. Aadhar card, bank account details, land ownership documents are required for the application.
  3. You can apply at your nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
  4. Eligible farmers get at least one installment in just 2-3 months.

This scheme is important for farmers to achieve economic prosperity and stability in the agricultural sector.
